Let me tell you that it was announced in December last year that the Indian Army would display its new combat uniform at the 2022 Army Day Parade. The new uniform is now going to replace the decades old uniform of the jawans, it is on the digital camouflage pattern. It is expected to be introduced in the Army by August this year.
The new uniform is made with the help of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and, according to officials, is lightweight and environmentally friendly, providing more comfort to soldiers. The new uniform is based on a digital pattern. The new uniform for the army is very different from the existing one. Soldiers will not have to wear a new uniform shirt even inside the trousers. The color of the new combat uniform will remain the same as the existing uniform, i.e. a mixture of colors including olive and clay.
