The report states that in 2021, the Internet was shut down for 1,157 hours in the country. This includes a cost of 1.5 billion (approximately Rs. 11,100 crore).

India ranks after Myanmar and Nigeria. That is the third in the world. Last year, 1,157 hours of internet was down in the country. It had a full Internet blackout of 317.5 hours, with 840 hours of bandwidth throttling. In other words, only 2G services were provided during this period.
