The sum insured varies with each card
Let us tell you that the bank gives different types of cards to its customers and the sum insured is different with each card. For example, Rs 1 lakh on Classic Card, Rs 2 lakh on Platinum Card, Rs 5,000 on MasterCard and Rs 5 lakh on Master Platinum Card. On a Visa card, the amount is between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 2 lakh.
Money is paid according to the condition of the person injured in the accident
If a person loses one arm and one leg in an accident then Rs. 50,000, if he loses both arms and both legs then provision of Rs. 1 lakh. On the other hand, if an ATM card holder dies, he will be paid Rs. 1 lakh, while in case of death of a MasterCard holder, Rs. Rs 5 lakh will be paid from the holder bank

Almost all banks hide this important information from their customers when issuing ATM cards, so that they do not have to pay. However, this information is recorded in the documents found with the ATM.
How to apply for Sum Assured
If any of the ATM card holders in your family have had such an accident, you too can apply for this sum assured. For this you will need original copy of death certificate, copy of FIR, certificate of dependent, certificate of deceased.
